Project Syndicate Deputy Managing Editor Rachel Danna sat down with Martin Baron, former executive editor of the Washington Post, to discuss the state – and fate – of journalism today.
The helicopters produced by Lockheed Martin are known as ‘submarine hunters’. India ordered 24 of these aircraft in 2020 to replace the Sea King helicopters. 15 have been delivered till date.
The India-South Africa series-defining fact is the catastrophic decline of Indian red ball cricket where a visiting team can mock us with the 'grovel' word.
Multiplayer Gaming was first introduced in Mizoram by TCP (The Cyrix Project) gaming parlour in 2000, back then gaming parlours were not introduced much in the state. The internet was dial-up and shitty, to be honest. That (BSNL) was the only choice then. After a few years, more ISPs were coming but the internet speed still sucked. I was one of the first people to use NetSurf internet and a user till date. What I have learnt is that it was one of the first providers to successfully run a private ISP and more came after that. NetSurf is okay, not awesome but fine for browsing, streaming movies and a little bit of gaming, but if you want a good ping, stable connection and less choke, you have BSNL (fibre) for that.
Well..Well..well 100mbps!?!?!!??just like a big dream for now. I used netsurf for 4 months now at one of my shoe store. Highest Ping I can get for online games I played (pubg mob, MLBB) is 100ms. 138ms, 140ms…are the normal.
Download speed can never clock up to 1mbps, even 500kbps is rare. While The newly BSNL fibre could clock 6Mbps sometimes and ping upto 78ms.
Gamers from NorthEast regions are growing and becoming pro day by day. But the Internet speed is the reason we can never be on the top line comparing with the wester states of India.
I’m sure 90% of Mizoram gamers didn’t even see 50ms on their device..
Professional gamers are not only there in Delhi, Mumbai but also in our North East region, they are even better than them.
The main thing is, in our NE region the scope of making carreer by Straming or Gaming is very less compared to Delhi or Mumbai
Half of what this article says is true… Literally only half of it…which is a miniscule of the truth.. It’s true that the gaming community is growing in Mizoram, but good internet? 100mbps?… No! This is false advertisement for net surf or whatever. Contrary to what they say about game developers noticing us.. We’d hardly even be noticed .
