The NDA, or National Democratic Alliance, is a grouping of right-leaning political parties, led by the pro-Hindu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The NDA first came to power in 1999, which lasted until 2004 under the leadership of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. More recently, it has been the ruling coalition since 2014, with Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister.
It was formed in 1998 with 20 parties. Notable parties in this alliance today are the NCP led by Ajit Pawar, the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, the Janata Dal (United) led by Nitish Kumar, the Janata Dal (Secular) led by H.D. Dewe Gowda, the Lok Janshakti Party led by Chirag Paswan, the Indigenous Pope’s Front of Tripura, the Telugu Desam Party led by N.Chandrababu Naidu, and the Tamil Manila Congress led by G.K. Vasan.
Two reasons for them to not get worried…
1) alliance with these so called secular parties bound them to implement there hardcore hindutva and rashtravadi agenda
2) secondly they know it very well that these allies are useful at the time of election only and these allies also know this fact and most of them will come back under the umbrella of NDA ar the time of election
So there is no harm for BJP And allies parties too to be aparted And increase their vote share till the time of elections come near.
The BJP does not compromise on ideology. So, it will never give in to non-patriotic demands. The BJP is the only political party which really wants to “serve the nation”, and not just win elections. Hence, it is not a calculated risk, but its philosophy of Rashtradharm-Nation First-Nation above politics. That is why the BJP does not pander to appeasement politics, it only follows politics of development.
Probably a case of ‘Good riddance to bad rubbish’. None of these regional parties are interested in National interest. Their visibility, their focus, their interests are limited to their respective geography of influence a.k.a the state that they’re stakeholders in. Now, it makes political sense for them not to get involved in national politics. Reasons? Two….To begin, they know they do not have the credentials to take on a BJP or a Congress (or whatever is left of it). As a consequence of the first reason, their only hope for survival is to remain relevant in their home state by trying to show that they’re independent in their thought.
The author of this article is advised to keep in mind he/she needs to develop critical faculties to understand the underlying reasons of happenings in political dramas . At one one time BJP under Mr Vajpey Ji i was having 25 parties as allies . This was just a temporary arrangement specific to that time requirements. BJP , has , say 19 allies in 2014 or in any years. It is all O.Kay. It was never an arrangement where It benefited MOdi or BJP only. Akalie, shiv sena or any other party like of Mr. Paswan or JDU , all enjoyed the share in power at centre. Every alliance has a limited age . Big party is always gets bigger benefits. When smaller parties relies that there growth is stunted in their own backyards . they have to leave the alliances to survive as a independent political entity or force. They look forward to future also . There are many things which are visible if one applies mind. Take Developments in Maharashra , Shiv Sena which thinks itself a Sole Champion of Marathas , realized that – as Shard pawar will become old and infirm and may die in three four years , they formed a temporary alliance with NCP , then after his death , Maratha voters should find Shiv Sena its natural and only alternative . They are pleased to work under Shard pawar for one to three years for long term Goal.
In case of punjab Akalies , too come to conclusion that they can not be sure of win in assembly election in Alliance with BJP. They want in Punjab — BJP .Congress and Akalies as three party contest Where they may get good number of seats and can have even post poll alliance with BJP or any other outfit. I have given you two examples . So please keep in mind leaving of allies from BJP , is pure politics. Nothing more needs to be read in this type of developments. It is pure politics
