Yours is selective memory, you forget to mention what leads to Rathyatra of 1990. It was started by then PM by reversing Shah Bano judgement, to amend this mistake PM open gate at Ayodhya and did pooja, BJP grab the opportunity and ask for Ram Temple instead of symbolic pooja. It is competitive politics. In present day you will see similar thing like one party is declaring they will waive small farmers loan if they come to power, next party will declare they will waive all farmers loan if they come to power. No one care about economy or health of state finance before declaring these promises.
