Taiwan has kept the Covid crisis largely in check, and the parade on 28 June comes just over a year after it became the first nation in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage.

This is the game every nation is now learning to play. Some are finding new allies or seeing value among nations where they’d seen marginal interest. The starkest example is India & Europe.
