The Congress Government in the Union Territory of Puducherry, since April 2019, has been deliberately and mischievously Harassing a Section of Government Employees,; that is by withholding the Payment of a major part of the House Rent Allowance (HRA) admissible as per the 7th CPC Rules to the Gazetted Government Employees working as the Teaching Faculty in the Government Degree and PG Colleges under the Puducherry Administration. They have also not paid so far, rhe Central Government Enhanced Dearness Allowance (DA) to these Central Service Group ‘A’ Government Employees for the periods from 1st January 2018 to 30th June 2018 and from 1st July 2018 to 31st December 2018. These Faculty Members are Direct Recruits Selected through the UPSC, Delhi. All other Puducherry Government Employees are paid the full HRA as per the 7th CPC Rules. Thus Disparity among Government Employees is being openly Practised by the Puducherry Government because the Government College’s Faculty Members are very few in number compared to all the other Categories of Puducherry Government Employees. Thus they are subjecting Class 1 Officers to such Shabby Treatment. Representations made to the Honourable Lt. Governor, the Chief Secretary and to the Education Secretary of the U.T. of Puducherry, have not yielded any positive response, till date.
