Yogi Adityanath-led government has allowed the yatra to be held from 25 July despite concerns raised in various quarters over the risk of a possible third wave of the pandemic.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked state officials to coordinate with Bihar and Uttarakhand to ensure Covid guidelines are followed during the yatra.
The last time this matter flared up was when Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in a very similar directive in April, called for the relocation of stray dogs in the capital.
Finance ministry says the proposed revamp will focus on structural reforms, rate rationalisation & ease of living, & will be deliberated upon in the coming weeks.
