Justice Varma 'is not entitled to any relief' and 'no interference' by the court 'is called for,' a bench of Justices Dipankar Dutta and SC Sharma says.
The judge sought extension after SC concluded hearing on his petition challenging formation of the panel, and reserved the verdict. The bench declined his request for extension.
Justice Varma says that under Judges Inquiry Act if motions are moved before both Houses on the same day, a joint panel should be formed to enquire into allegations.
