The hospital presented a contradicting stand, saying there was a link between oxygen supply and the deaths as no oxygen was supplied to them for 30 hours despite several alerts.
The judge gave the DCP the last opportunity to file the status report in the case involving the alleged deaths of Covid patients due to oxygen shortage at the hospital in April.
The plea contends that the cause of death of 21 Covid patients at the Delhi hospital was respiratory failure due to insufficient supply of oxygen and not comorbidities.
In pursuance to the order of the bench, the Delhi government had directed hospitals and nursing homes to send details of patients whose death occurred due to shortage of oxygen.
