India, the world’s most populous country, is a major economic and political power in South Asia. Known for its vast linguistic, cultural, and geographic diversity, India has a rich history that spans thousands of years, with deep-rooted traditions in philosophy, science, art, and religion. Its large population and vast history mark its economic and cultural importance.
While India’s civilization can be traced to the Harrapan era, that is, 1400 BCE, its modern political boundaries were established in 1947 when it gained independence from British rule. It is now a federal parliamentary democracy with 28 states and 8 union territories, with New Delhi as its capital. India has a democratic system with a multiparty political landscape, with the Indian National Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party being the two dominant national parties.
As one of the fastest-growing major economies, India is a global hub for technology, manufacturing, and services, while also being an agrarian powerhouse. It is a nuclear-armed state and plays a key role in regional and global geopolitics, maintaining strategic partnerships with various nations.
India is one of the most ethnically and religiously diverse countries in the world, home to multiple religions, sects, castes, and tribes. It has more than ten-thousand languages and hundreds of regional dialects, with Hindi and English serving as the two of the 22 official languages. Despite economic progress, India faces challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and environmental concerns, alongside managing its complex social fabric and regional disparities.
What a great person Gandhi was, which brought us India -Paskistan,
He could have saved bhagat sigh, but he didn’t. Great involvement in Shastri death, and list goes on..well ,For the defence of Dalit rights,B.R Ambedkar started five periodicals – Mooknayak, he left everything behind but caught for dalits and their rights.
Where in Gandhi started, harijan where he was in favour of untouchablilty, demanded no rights for dalits.
every person has there bad side, but bringing down nation, deviding innocent people so that they can be ruled is different story.. watch BBC interviews.. no one has to fight over this, world know ..what AMBERDAKR has done for dalits and how Gandhi WAS ?
If anyone in India criticise or say bad words about M. Gandhi…Then it is ok…It is a opinion…. But no one can say some things about ambedkar coz it will not be tolerated… the print please use some brain before putting such colomns on net…. it only increases hatred btwn diffrnt communities… And I am 100% sure that you are wrong about M. Gandhi may had some dark sides….Even some of those dark side rumours are confirmed by some people in public speeches…What a shame…But they decided…Dr. Ambedkar was holi person…He never had dark side or a thing bad about him…Such a discrimination…In india you can not say some negative words about ambedkar… Because according to these people he never done a one negative thing in his life…. I appreciate the work he has done….And whenever 14april arrives..We celebrate it too…But whenever M. Gandhi jayanti comes….They say many bad words about him…And we cannot do a thing about it….. But no worries..As M. Gandhi said… The more hatred you keep…More you drown in to negativity ….Please refresh your silly mind…M. gandhi was a good person.. Actually very good person…..And good things never dies….
