The US should articulate the specific ways each adversary exacerbates fragility and violence, and then prescribe evidence-based solutions for each rival.
India’s industrial output growth saw a 10-month low in June, with Index of Industrial Production (IIP) growing by mere 1.5% as against 1.9% in May 2025.
Gen Dwivedi framed Op Sindoor not just as retaliation to Pahalgam, but as demonstration of India’s capability to fight multi-domain conflicts with integration between services & agencies.
Standing up to America is usually not a personal risk for a leader in India. Any suggestions of foreign pressure unites India behind who they see as leading them in that fight.
Yes like that worked out so well for the U.S. in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, etc. America has not won a war in many decades, even against the weakest of adversaries. The war on terror exposed America’s military weaknesses, the global financial crisis exposed America’s economic weaknesses, the collapse of democracy worldwide exposes America’s ideological weaknesses, and the Coronavirus exposed America’s incompetence and in. The list goes on.
America’s “allies” are not stupid, this is not the new cold war. The cold war was premised on the threat of Soviet union invading europe and the rest of the world. Why should America’s “allies”, uniformally throw in their lot with the U.S.? Trump has thrown plenty of allies under the bus, and American “allies” don’t trust the U.S. anymore. If anything, EU and other countries will do their best to not pick sides in this fight, what if one day Trump or another administration withdraws from Europe? Wouldn’t Europe need to make peace with Russia?
Here is some advice, maybe America isn’t as strong as you think, maybe the U.S. should mind its own business for once? Accept the fact that the U.S. cannot control the world.
