Punjab & Haryana HC criticised Army, Centre for denying regularisation to petitioners, who had been serving at Military Farms for over 30 yrs, on ‘premise of false facts’.
These farms occupy buildings or shipping containers where they produce greater yields than traditional outdoor farming and use 70 to 95 per cent less water.
The country was already struggling due to rising food prices before the floods because of Russia-Ukraine war. Now, the UN food aid to Afghanistan, transported through Pakistan, could get affected.
Initial talks held on the possibility of India entering the programme that was started in 2017 between France, Germany and Spain to ensure European sovereignty in defence and security.
