Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries has called the state-wide bandh on 22 June, claiming the 'abnormal' hike implemented this month, will hurt the trade and industry sectors.
The increase is the latest measure to clinch a $2.9 billion loan from IMF to tackle a crisis that evolved from pandemic, rising oil prices and populist tax cuts by previous govt.
In FY 2025-26, AoN for 55 proposals amounting to Rs 6.73 lakh cr has been accorded by DAC. Both the quantum of AoN given and capital contracts signed, so far, have been the highest in any FY.
