Totally agree, it is very important to vote for upholding democratic values and to keep democracy alive for future generations. However I do not agree when you say vote for a good person irrespective of the party. In current situation, I don’t think the environment is conducive for one person to express opinion and dissent with leadership’s decisions, he/she will probably be expelled from the party and will be branded as anti national! It is very important to look at the party ideology and vote for a party that is not divisive and that will be better for the future of democracy.
