Mumbai has recorded 899 COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the year, including 435 in May and 458 in June so far. No Covid deaths have been reported since Tuesday.
According to official data, 203 new cases were added to the active case count. The cumulative COVID-19 deaths in the country since January this year have increased to 32.
WHO already has binding rules known as International Health Regulations, which in 2005 set out countries' obligations where public health events have potential to cross borders.
The death toll climbed to 4,69,724 with 477 fresh fatalities while the country's total caseload rose to 3,46,06,541, according to the health ministry data.
