Chennai was underwater twice in the last four years, where did it go? What about population explosion? Is there no responsibility on the people to conserve water? Is there no responsibility on them to do rainwater harvesting? This is the shame story across India! India will be the Ethiopia of Asia by 2040!

The CRUX of problem arises out of Pathetic performance of world””s meteorologists. Renowned meteorological centers like NOAA, METOFFICE, WMO etc., failed/failing in their LONG RANGE WEATHER FORECASTING ever since they attempted. We can depend only for 48/72 hrs on their short term dynamic Forecasts (15 days) based on system stimulation. No government can plan DRAUGHT if these agencies fail and continue to be unaccountable. To substantiate my claim, humbly I share my passionate research Forecast product:

Chennai – Madras since its founding by the British has ALWAYS been water defecient. The problem is much more than just “water conservation” – the local topography does not support such large settlement. Madras was built in a very arid region that was historically very sparsely populated . No Tamil kingdoms used Chennai as their capital – because it lacked water. Only the British – who were interested in temporary settlement for trade chose Chennai out of accidental circumstances.
Tamil Nadu must control the expansion of Chennai and focus on Coimbatore , Madurai etc which have better water and expansion prospects. Chennai must be abandoned and companies should think of moving to Coimbatore – which offers better climate, better lifestyle and can be developed in a more sustainable and planned manner with better water availability.
