The CBSE Class 12 Maths board exam was held on 9 March, and soon after the test, several students discovered that they had become a part of a long-running internet joke.
Education ministry analysed results of 66 education boards. Data also shows consistent rise in number of students graduating from Class 12 with science stream over 11 years.
Various state boards have different systems of evaluation, which creates issues when students apply to universities; AIU to issue SOP for more standardised assessment.
This will be in addition to the use of CCTV surveillance and external invigilators for the purpose. The practice will start with the upcoming board exams for classes 10 and 12.
CBSE officials say they’re calculating results on the basis of an evaluation scheme this year and, therefore, coming up with a merit list makes no sense in such a situation.
