The explosion rocked Istiklal Avenue in central Istanbul Sunday, crowded with shoppers, tourists & families. The cause of the blast is not yet known based on media reports.
The blast at Rohini court occurred around 10.25 am on 9 December, in courtroom No. 102, and left one policeman injured. It was a low-intensity explosion because the IED 'malfunctioned'.
Pakistan said the blast was caused by a gas leak, but China condemned the explosion and called the country to strengthen security for Chinese companies.
Citing initial probe, police said chemicals which were being mixed and stuffed caught fire due to friction leading to a series of explosions, severely damaging the structure.
