When citizens are getting burnt by fuel prices, it is time to say, We feel your pain, but … Not a time for arrogance and condescension. The other set of people who say divisive, inflammatory things, after a while, people begin to see them not as aberrations but as part of an orchestrated complex set of messages that are being sent out. Ultimately, the government will be judged by its work, but better communication would help.
