It’s not a waste of time. The atmosphere created by such articles and opinion polls affects the undecided voter in every election. At least 10-20% of voters vote for whoever is winning, irrespective of policies.

But the hard truth is no muslim and yadav vote to any other party than RJD and no upper caste vote other than BJP and large number of dalit and mahdalit and OBC excluding yadav that Nitish cretaed a block moving with Nitish over a last decade thats why BJP fought with its full strength and power in 2015 with same noise and buzz what some media projecting for Tajesvi this time but endup winning just 52.
