Lok Sabha elections 2024 refers to the general elections scheduled to take place starting 19 April in seven phases. The results of these election will give India its next government.
Lok Sabha elections or General Elections are conducted every five years in India. Held across 543 constituencies, Members of Parliament to the lower house are elected through these polls. The party with a majority in the Lok Sabha then forms the government at the Centre, so these elections eventually lead to the election of the Prime Minister and their cabinet.
The Lok Sabha, or the House of the People, is the lower house of India’s bicameral Parliament. The upper house is called the Rajya Sabha. Members of the Lok Sabha are elected by an adult universal suffrage and a first-past-the-post system to represent their respective constituencies.
The first Lok Sabha elections were held in 1951 when the Indian National Congress came to power with Jawaharlal Nehru as Prime Minister. The last such election was held in 2019, where the Bharatiya Janta Party came to power with an overwhelming majority with Narendra Modi as prime minister. The next elections are scheduled to take place in 7 phases starting 19 April 2024. The Election Commission of India is responsible for conducting these elections.
Sir, you have made only a passing mention of one all important point while advising opposition. Building credibility. Voter has to be sure of your intention. If the voter has faith in leader’s intetion, he will him in, again and again, and even forgive an occasional misstep. No leader in the oppostion has even a shred of credibility.
But the question is why some punchlines work and some do not work. Why “Chowkidar chor hai” didn’t work or backfired. Why the Ambani Adani duo’s proximity with the regime is digested or condoned by the electorate.
NYAY guarantee
“Janatha ka Nyay” could be the umbrella under which a slew of initiatives can be announced which shall be implemented after getting voted to power. The implementation date will also be mentioned which should be realistic. The initiatives can be as below

2. LPG gas price to be pegged at 500 Rupees per cylinder. This will also be implemented from 01 July 2024.

They could add with tangible dates and then market this as soon as possible. They could expose Modi for what he did in last 10 years as it’s mostly high talks.
Blah
Sir,
you are very much learned journalist & intellectual. But you and other like to evade the hurt of deep psychology of main stream Hindu that congress attacked this . They made a SIKH as PM, Christian as DM, Muslim as Foreign minister and majority population was subjected to 2nd grade in their own country. please think & elobrate on this. Hence now Hindu think that it is our govt with no Muslim as minister even.
The polity of India is very different from the ones considered by you. Its no longer easier to cheat people easily without a credible vision.
The opposition currently lacks credibility. Thats the real problem here. While opposition rake up issues and expect judiciary/media to echo them, they forget that opposition themselves are not genuine in their intent they dont believe in themselves.
