Kolkata, Jan 30 (PTI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday congratulated India’s Under-19 women’s cricket team for winning the inaugural T-20 World Cup.

She termed the feat as the beginning of the Indian women scaling “greater heights” in the coming days.

“Heartiest congratulations to India’s Under 19 Women’s Cricket Team. What a stellar victory in the inaugural Under 19 Women’s T20 World Cup! This is only the beginning, I am certain the daughters of India will scale greater heights in the days ahead,” Banerjee tweeted.

India on Sunday won their maiden ICC title in women’s cricket as a bunch of sprightly and talented teenagers lifted the inaugural U-19 World Cup with an emphatic seven-wicket victory over England. PTI SCH RG
