Today, we live in a data-first world. The exponential growth of data has made digitalisation, technological innovations, and advancements an everyday phenomena, laying a strong foundation for AI. AI is key to the existence of the digital age and enhances various aspects of the data-management cycle and the entire digital experience. The concept of AI first emerged in the 1950s and has grown exponentially in recent years due to the advent of the digital age, thereby leading to the advent of Generative AI (Gen AI). Generative AI moves beyond the capabilities of traditional AI. It utilises pre-existing data to create new and original content, simultaneously adding to the existing pool of data. It taps into existing knowledge systems and offers people a beginning for their endeavours.

The convergence of a data-first world and Generative AI, with data as the common denominator, holds immense promise, and the opportunities are boundless.

‘Mastering the Data Paradox is a practical playbook, a synthesis of the author’s own experiences and experiments with data at various instances. The book helps us to understand the intricacies of the present digital age and make sense of the exorbitant data, thereby providing us with an opportunity to unravel the mysteries of the data paradox. The book is an attempt towards the creation of a better future at all levels—individual, enterprise, and the world.
