A confident Rahul Gandhi answered every question posed by journalists in Delhi on Tuesday evening. The questions ranged from his hug-attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his determination to keep the BJP-RSS from coming back to power.

The assertiveness of the young Congress president was a far cry from four years ago when he last gave interviews on the eve of the 2014 Lok Sabha election. Tuesday’s interaction, perhaps a virtual launch of his party’s 2019 election campaign, is also in sharp contrast to the fact that Modi hasn’t had a single press conference in all the four years that he has been in power.
