In today’s featured cartoon, Sandeep Adhwaryu depicts the inauguration of the much-awaited Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Opposition rejects the government’s ‘invitation’ on grounds of politicisation of religion.

As the government is all set to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), leaders in power consider it the ‘ultimate’ weapon to strike down illegal immigration. Here, Kumar satirically illustrates the ‘resentment those Indians would feel if they chose other countries over India.’

Alok Nirantar, in his latest illustration, takes a dig at NCP’s Jitendra Awhad and BJP’s Ram Kadam for discussing whether Lord Ram was a vegetarian or non-vegetarian, while the poor stand empty-handed, struggling for bread. Awhad issued an apology earlier today for his comment that Ram was a non-vegetarian.

Satish Acharya alludes to the passing of the three new criminal laws, which invoked unrest amongst truck drivers for provisions under ‘hit-and-run’ cases. While the government kicked out the Opposition for questioning the laws, it has, however, assured the drivers to consult them before the implementation of the laws.

R Prasad, too, joins the commentary on truck drivers’ protest and the three criminal laws. The government’s assurance to consult the drivers before the implementation of the provisions under the ‘hit-and-run case’ brings relief to the protesters.
