Amethi (UP), Apr 15 (PTI) A 24-year-old woman was found murdered with her throat slit in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi district, police said on Wednesday.
The body of Amita, a resident of Pure Chaturipur village, was found on Tuesday near a canal, a short distance from her house by locals.
According to police, the woman was killed using a sharp-edged weapon, and her body was dumped at the spot.
Station House Officer Arun Kumar Mishra said the body has been sent for postmortem examination and further investigation is underway.
