Jammu, May 17 (PTI) Panic gripped the mountainous Mohchhan area of Doda district on Sunday after a wild bear was spotted wandering near the premises of the public health engineering plant, officials said.
They said the sleuths of the wildlife department immediately swung into action and launched a rescue operation in the area.
The bear was safely captured after being tranquilised and later relocated to a nearby forest area without causing any harm to humans or the animal, they said.
The successful rescue operation brought relief among local residents who had gathered near the site.
