New Delhi: The Allahabad High Court Monday raised doubts on the character of the law student who accused former Union Minister Chinmayanad of sexual assault, stating it was unclear “who had used whom”.
The court, which granted bail to the BJP leader, noted that there was nothing on record to show the student ever “objected to or raised any protest before the claimed incident”, and said it seemed to be a matter of “quid pro quo”.
It also cited that she did not disclose the abuse to anyone, including family members, even though “her virginity was at stake”.
