New Delhi, Aug 3 (PTI) Vibrant art traditions of Chhattisgarh, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra have inspired this year’s invitation for Independence Day’s At Home, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Monday.
The invitation from the President of India to the guests for the Independence Day reception reflects the cultural and artistic diversity of Bharat, it said.
“This year’s Invitation celebrates the interdependence between communities, creativity and conservation. The theme of this year’s invitation and the Reception is inspired by the vibrant living art traditions of Chhattisgarh, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra,” the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a post on X.
It also shared a video of the invitation.
Its fabric-made envelope uses Bagh textile from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh. The card showcases Dhokra lost wax casting and Pitwa arts of Chhattisgarh, Bhil paintings from Madhya Pradesh, Azulejo tile paintings of Goa and Warli paintings of Maharashtra.
