New Delhi, May 22 (PTI) To avoid any last-minute inconvenience for candidates appearing for the civil services preliminary (CSP) examination, the Union Public Service Commission on Friday said that it will send e-admit cards via email to those who have not yet downloaded them.

Applicants for the CSP/Indian Forest Service (IFoS) preliminary examination 2026 are advised to check their registered email, including spam/junk folders, for their e-admit cards, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) said in a social media post.

The CSP/IFoS preliminary examination is scheduled for Sunday, for which 8,19,372 applications have been received.

The civil services exam is conducted annually in three stages — preliminary, main, and interview — for recruitment into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.

The civil services prelims also act as a screening test for those willing to join the IFoS.

“To avoid any last-minute inconvenience for candidates appearing in the civil services preliminary examination (CSP) 2026 and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) preliminary examination 2026, scheduled to be held on May 24, UPSC has decided to send e-admit cards via email to those who have not yet downloaded them,” the UPSC posted on LinkedIn.
