Mathura (UP), Apr 26 (PTI) A man and his nephew on way to give the Home Guard recruitment examination were killed when an unidentified vehicle rammed into their motorcycle, police said on Sunday.
The accident that took place on Saturday also left another person seriously injured.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Rural, Suresh Chandra Rawat said Sajid Khan alias Titu (18) was travelling to an examination centre in Mathura along with his uncle Majid Khan (28).
On the way, Majid also picked up his nephew Shakir (15). The accident occurred when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle from behind near the township flyover, police said.
Sajid died on the spot, while Majid and Shakir were seriously injured.
Both the injured were rushed to a hospital where doctors declared Majid dead, while Shakir is undergoing treatment and remains in critical condition, police added.
The bodies of the deceased have been handed over to their families after postmortem, officials said, adding efforts are underway to trace the unidentified vehicle with the help of CCTV footage.
