Gorakhpur (UP), Apr 26 (PTI) The last rites of three members of a family who died in a road accident in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh were conducted here on Sunday.
Vinay Srivastava (53), a private school teacher, his wife Archana Srivastava (48), his son Kritarth (27), the family dog, Rudra, two drivers who hailed from Bihar’s Gaya district were killed in the accident on Saturday.
They were returning from the wedding of Vinay and Archana’s daughter Mimansha in Jharkhand when their car collided head-on with a trailer truck.
Late Saturday night, the bodies reached home in Gorakhpur after the post-mortem. The bodies were placed together and taken to Rajghat cremation ground, where the last rites were performed.
The wedding was on April 20 in Ranchi.
