Saharanpur (UP), Nov 4 (PTI) Two men were killed and three others injured after a car rammed into a truck in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district, police said on Thursday.
The accident took place around 9.45 pm on Wednesday near the Sai Dham temple within the Deoband police station limits, when four members of a family was returning from Muzaffarnagar after medical treatment.
Deoband SHO Sandeep Baliyan said Mohammad Ejaz (43), his wife Rizwana and their two daughters were travelling in the taxi driven by Mukesh (45), when the vehicle went out of control and crashed into a truck moving ahead.
The impact left the front portion of the taxi badly damaged, trapping all the occupants inside. Police and locals rescued them and rushed them to a government hospital, where doctors declared Ejaz and Mukesh dead.
Rizwana and her daughter Hafsa are undergoing treatment at the hospital, while 18-year-old Ayesha has been referred to Meerut as her condition worsened, the SHO said. PTI COR ABN ARI
