Shimla, Jun 29 (PTI) Former Union minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur on Monday said Himachal Pradesh has received “unprecedented support” from the central government over the past decade.
The BJP leader was participating in a tree plantation drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign here, after offering prayers at the Lord Hanuman Temple at Jakhu.
Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable development.
Thakur also highlighted the major projects and initiatives, including AIIMS Bilaspur, expansion of the national highway network, strengthening of road connectivity through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Ujjwala Yojana, which, he said, have significantly improved the quality of life for the people of the state.
He further said that the last 12 years of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government have been defined by service, good governance, transparency, national security and inclusive development.
Referring to the temple, Thakur said it is a symbol of faith, strength, and positive energy, adding that he prayed for the good health and long life of Modi and for the continued progress of India under his leadership. PTI COR PRK
