Dehradun, Feb 14 (PTI) Uttarakhand Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi on Tuesday offered tributes to the 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans killed in a terror attack in Pulwama on this day in 2019.
In the attack by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists in the south Kashmir district on this day in 2019, an explosive-laden vehicle hit a CRPF convoy at Lethpora when it was heading from Jammu to Srinagar.
Joshi laid a wreath on the pictures of the CRPF personnel killed in the attack. The country will always remember their sacrifice, he said at the Servicemen Welfare Directorate.
Among those killed in the 2019 attack, two were from the state.
“The country will never forget their sacrifice. We all stand with the families of the martyrs,” he said.
Joshi also spoke of the strong retaliation by India in the form of the Balakot air strike. PTI ALM ALM ANB ANB
