Two killed after truck hits 2 vehicles, catches fire in Jharkhand

Giridih (Jharkhand), Apr 16 (PTI) Two persons were charred to death after a truck collided with two goods vehicles and caught fire in Jharkhand’s Giridih district on Thursday, police said.

The accident occurred around 5 am near a toll plaza under the Dumri Police Station limits, after the truck rammed into two commercial vehicles parked on the side of the road, and a fire broke out, a senior officer said.

“Two persons died in the accident,” Dumri Police Station officer-in-charge Srikant said.

The identity of the deceased – the driver and the helper of the truck – is yet to be ascertained, he said. PTI CORR SAN BDC
