Indore, Nov 4 (PTI) Two persons were arrested on Monday for alleged possession of mephedrone worth Rs 40 lakh in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted the motorcycle-borne accused on MR-4 Road and found the narcotic substance in their pockets, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajesh Kumar Tripathi said.
The duo had 44 gm of mephedrone each on their person, he said, adding that the contraband is valued at Rs 40 lakh in the black market, he said.
The official said the accused, Aamir Gauri and Ayan Khan, have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and a probe is underway to find out from where the drugs had been sourced and to whom they were to be delivered. PTI HWP ADU ARU
