Chandigarh, Oct 4 (PTI) Punjab Police on Friday said it has unearthed a drug syndicate with the arrest of two persons and recovered 1.50 kg heroin from their possession.

The heroin was found hidden in jackets, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said.

The accused have been identified as Sukhdeep Singh and Krishan.

“SAS Nagar Police has busted an international drug syndicate, and arrested 2 persons – Sukhdeep Singh & Krishan. Seizure of 1.5 Kg Heroin & exposure of #Afghan handlers based in #Delhi, connected with international drug cartels,” Yadav said in a post on X.

“Arrested Sukhdeep Singh was previously involved in a kidnapping case in 2020 and was out on bail since May 2024.Modus operandi: Heroin hidden in half-sleeve jackets, smuggled in vehicles,” the DGP added. PTI CHS DV DV
