New Delhi: Strong tremors were felt in North India, including in the capital Delhi, after two earthquakes hit Nepal on Tuesday afternoon.
According to India’s National Centre for Seismology, the first quake was of 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale which took place around 2.25 pm at latitude 29.37 and longitude 81.22. It was at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The second one hit at 2.51 pm at latitude 29.29 and longitude 81.33 at a depth of five kilometres.
People were seen rushing out of their buildings on a working Tuesday in the national capital, and so did Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya who came out of headquarters Nirman Bhawan.
