Chennai, May 4 (PTI) PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Monday said everyone should accept the verdict delivered by the people in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

PMK, a constituent of the NDA, suffered losses in the April 23 Assembly polls.

The party, which contested 18 seats, is currently leading in only five constituencies.

“In this election, the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), led by Vijay, emerged victorious by securing a majority of the constituencies. This represents a democratic mandate delivered by the voters of Tamil Nadu,” Anbumani said in a statement.

“Driven by the hope and belief that Vijay will bring about an honest and corruption-free political transformation, the youth and the general public of Tamil Nadu have extended their support through their votes,” he said, adding, “I respect and welcome this expression of the people’s democratic spirit.” “I extend my best wishes to him as he utilises this victory to serve the people of Tamil Nadu with renewed vigour, working towards the state’s development, the enrichment of its culture, the creation of a Tamil Nadu free from alcohol and narcotics, and the establishment of social justice through a caste-based census as outlined in the party’s manifesto.” Meanwhile, AMMK leader T T V Dhinakaran, in a statement, said his party accepts the verdict delivered by the people.

“At this juncture, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the functionaries and cadres of the AMMK who worked tirelessly for the victory of the NDA candidates in Tamil Nadu,” he added. PTI SNR SSK
