Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Apr, 23 (PTI) BJP senior leader and Coimbatore North candidate Vanathi Srinivasan on Thursday exuded confidence that the AIADMK-led NDA will secure victory in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections.
Polling was on across 234 assembly segments in the state on Thursday.
After casting her vote in this western TN city, Srinivasan said the people are enthusiastic for a change of government. A large number of youth and women were casting their votes.
“It is evident that NDA will come to power.” She charged the ruling DMK with bribing voters, and claimed that “Rs 2,000 was given to each voter in my constituency”.
The BJP Mahila Morcha chief also alleged that DMK did nothing to Coimbatore for the last five years. “When they are confident about their welfare measures why should they distribute money to the voters”, she asked.
She also claimed that the support for NDA is growing every day and that it would emerge victorious in all the constituencies in Coimbatore.
“It will be 10 out of 10 here”, she added. PTI SNR SNR SA
