The accident occurred around 5.30 am near the ancient Dandraua Hanuman Temple on the Mau-Mehgaon Road, an official said.

The pick-up truck carrying eight persons lost control and dashed into a tree on the roadside, killing three of the occupants on the spot, Mehgaon sub-divisional officer (SDOP) Sanjay Kocha said.
