As AAIB releases preliminary report on AI-171 crash, in this edition of ThePrint Quiz, we look at some of the worst aviation disasters the world has seen over the years.

Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has released a preliminary report outlining its assessment of the Air India flight AI‑171 crash.

The Boeing 787‑8 Dreamliner with 242 on board (230 passengers and 12 crew) departed from Ahmedabad for London Gatwick on 12 June. But shortly after takeoff, it crashed into a hostel at BJ Medical College. 

A British citizen of Indian origin was the sole survivor of the crash. Among those on board was BJP leader and former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani.
