Hyderabad, May 20 (PTI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday directed senior police officials to prepare a report on tackling cybercrime and to set up special de-addiction centres for drug addicts.
At a review meeting on various wings of police, he suggested selection of personnel for the cyber crime wing during police training after recruitment.
He also proposed introducing a special course on cyber crime for police personnel in the state government’s Skills University.
The CM said the government’s vigilance wing be strengthened by making available technological tools. The vigilance wing should focus on checking organised crime with the help of data analysis.
He called for increasing forensic science centres and data centres for effective policing, an official release said.
Reddy directed that flex banners being installed in an unregulated manner be checked and told police commissioners and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials to be tough in taking action on the matter.
