Telangana appoints Shivadhar Reddy as state security advisor

Hyderabad, Apr 30 (PTI) The Telangana government has appointed B Shivadhar Reddy as state security advisor after his superannuation on Thursday.

Reddy, a former DGP, will advise the government on matters related to policing, law and order, internal security, crime control, narcotics control, and road safety for three years from the date he assumes charge.

According to a GO dated April 29, he will hold the status and rank of chief secretary.

The order was released to the media earlier in the day.

The government has also appointed senior IPS officer C V Anand as the new Director General of Police, and he will assume charge on May 1. PTI SJR SSK
