SWR to run special trains for Ganesh Chaturthi

Bengaluru, Aug 22 (PTI) To clear the festive rush during Ganesh Chaturthi, South Western Railway (SWR) will operate special train services between Hubballi–Yesvantpur and Yesvantpur–Mangaluru Central.

In a press release, SWR said it had earlier notified Train Nos. 07341/07342 SSS Hubballi–Mangaluru Central–SSS Hubballi Express Special (one trip) via Yesvantpur to run on August 26 from Hubballi and August 27 from Mangaluru Central. The schedule has now been revised.

Accordingly, Train No. 07341 will leave Hubballi at 15:30 hrs on August 25 and reach Yesvantpur at 22:40 hrs the same day. The return service, Train No. 07342, will depart Yesvantpur at 00:15 hrs on August 28 and arrive in Hubballi at 09:45 hrs. The train will halt at Haveri, Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere and Tumakuru in both directions.

In addition, Train No. 06251 will depart Yesvantpur at 23:55 hrs on August 25 and reach Mangaluru Central at 11:45 hrs the next day. The return service, Train No. 06252, will leave Mangaluru Central at 13:00 hrs on August 26 and reach Yesvantpur at 22:40 hrs.

Train No. 06253 will depart Yesvantpur at 23:55 hrs on August 26 and reach Mangaluru Central at 11:45 hrs the next day. The return train, No. 06254, will leave Mangaluru Central at 14:15 hrs on August 27 and arrive at Yesvantpur at 23:30 hrs.

The Yesvantpur–Mangaluru specials will halt at Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur and Bantawala in both directions. PTI JR SSK
