New Delhi, Aug 19 (PTI) It was a sunny morning in the national capital on Monday and the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, the Met office said.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), parts of the city are likely to get light rain during the day and the maximum temperature is expected to settle at around 35 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 am was recorded at 87 per cent.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded in the “satisfactory” category with a reading of 53 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’. PTI MHS RHL
