Raipur, Sep 23 (PTI) Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday said Smriti Irani’s appointment as BJP in-charge for Chhattisgarh will further strengthen the organisation and the resolve for public service.
The BJP on Wednesday appointed party in-charges and co-in-charges for all 28 states and eight Union territories, assigning Haryana and Chhattisgarh to national general secretary Smriti Irani and Tamil Nadu to party vice-president Ram Madhav.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Smriti Irani ji on her appointment as the State In-charge for Chhattisgarh by our national president Nitin Nabin,” Sai said on X.
He said Irani’s extensive national experience and her dedication to the organisation will be of great help.
Sai also congratulated Siddharth Shambhu on being appointed as the party’s co-in-charge for Chhattisgarh, saying his active participation will add momentum to organisational activities.
He also extended his greetings to the newly appointed in-charges and co-in-charges of the BJP in various states.
Chhattisgarh BJP president Kiran Deo also congratulated Irani and Shambhu.
He said this decision by the party’s central leadership will make the BJP organisation in Chhattisgarh stronger, more active, and dynamic.
Deo described Irani as an accomplished speaker, an able organiser and an experienced leader, saying the state unit will benefit from her organisational skills, administrative experience and guidance.
