Shimla, Jun 9 (PTI) The Shimla Met Office on Tuesday predicted a wet spell in Himachal Pradesh till June 15 as a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from June 11.
It also issued an orange warning for hail, thunderstorm and gusty winds (wind speed 40-50 kmph) for Kullu, Mandi, Shimla and Sirmaur districts on Thursday and Friday.
Dry weather was observed in most parts of the state over the 24 hours since Monday evening, barring Manali, which received 12 mm of rain followed by Kalpa (0.8 mm), while Bhuntar received traces of rain.
Kukumseri was coldest at night, recording a low of minus 6.2 degree Celsius, while Una was hottest during the day with a high of 42.8 degree Celsius.
Himachal Pradesh received 12.3 mm of rain against a normal rainfall of 19.2 mm during the ongoing monsoon season from June 1 to 9, registering a deficit of 36 per cent. PTI BPL PRK
