Jaipur, Sep 30 (PTI) Rajasthan Transport Department has earned more than Rs 3,590 crore in revenue so far in the current financial year, an increase of nearly 13.80 per cent over the previous year, officials said on Wednesday.
The department earned Rs 3,594.73 crore till September 27 in the financial year 2026-27, which was Rs 436.45 crore more than the corresponding period last year.
The figures were shared during a review meeting of the Transport and Road Safety Department and the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), chaired by Chief Secretary V Srinivas on Tuesday.
According to an official statement, a total of 57 services of the Transport Department have been made completely online through the “Vahan” and “Sarathi” portals, reducing the need for people to visit transport offices.
At present, 55 Automated Testing Stations (ATS) are operational in the state. Rajasthan ranks second in the country after Gujarat in terms of the number of such stations, officials said.
The process of adding around 900 new buses, including AC, Blue Line and electric buses, to the Rajasthan Roadways fleet is in the final stage, they said.
All 35 driving test tracks in the state are also being automated as part of measures to strengthen road safety, the statement said. PTI SDA SHS
