Jaipur, Sep 10 (PTI) Three men were arrested and two juveniles apprehended for allegedly molesting schoolgirls in Rajasthan’s Dungarpur district, police said on Thursday.
Two motorcycles used in the incident have also been seized, they said.
The incident took place in a village under the Chaurasi police station area.
A group of youths riding a motorcycle approached the girls and allegedly pulled their dupattas, while those on another motorcycle recorded the act on a mobile phone, police said.
Dungarpur Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar said a video of the incident surfaced on social media on September 9, after which a team was formed to identify and trace the accused.
During the investigation, police found that six people riding two motorcycles were allegedly involved.
Kumar said raids were conducted at their possible hideouts, and the accused were traced to forest areas near Vaniya Talab and Rastapal.
The three arrested have been identified as Ramesh Sarpota, a resident of Vaniya Talab, and Vipin Amaliya and Shailesh Amaliya, both residents of Rastapal.
Another accused, Tufan Amaliya, is absconding, and efforts are going on to trace him, the SP said. PTI SDA KSI KSI
